Maintenance and preservation of water bodies

Notwithstanding anything contained in any law for the time being in force, every person holding any water body in the state shall maintain and preserve such land containing the water bodies in such a manner that its area is not diminished and character is not changed or it is not converted for any purpose other than the purpose for which it was settled or previously held except with previous approval of the State Level Committee.
