Declaration and Notification of water bodies

Notwithstanding anything contained in any other laws enacted by the State Legislature which are for the time being in force,

1. (i) the areas of land as specified in the Schedules I, II, III, IV, V and VI of this Act shall be the water bodies in respect of the Guwahati Master Plan area;
2. (ii) the Schedule of water bodies prepared by the District Level Authority and recommended by the State Level Committee after due consideration of the same as per section 6 shall be notified as waterbody as defined under clause

1. (d) of section 2 of this Act.
