All officers including Registrar General of Marriage, District Registrar, Marriage and Divorce Registrar and other officers appointed or designated as such under this Act shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of sub-section (28) of section 2 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023.
