Maintenance of Register

Statutory text
- (1) Every Marriage and Divorce Registrar shall keep a Register of Marriages as in the Schedule-IV and a separate Register of Divorces as in Schedule-V shall be maintained within the respective jurisdiction of the Marriage and Divorce Registrar in the manner as may be prescribed.
- (2) The Registrar General shall cause to be printed and supplied sufficient number of Registers for the purpose of making entries of marriages and divorces.
