Marriage Certificate

Statutory text
- (1) When the marriage is solemnized, the Marriage and Divorce Registrar on completion of registration procedure shall issue a marriage certificate as in Schedule-III to be kept in a book called Marriage Registrar Book under his hand, seal and signature for that purpose and such certificate shall be signed by the parties to the marriage and their witnesses.
- (2) The Certificate issued by the Marriage and Divorce Registrar shall be the conclusive evidence of the solemnization of the fact that the marriage has been solemnized and all formalities of signature of both the parties and witness have been complied.
