Functions of District Level Committee

If a ropeway project is to be implemented on the basis of private-public participation, then the Committee shall perform the following functions or such tasks assigned by the State Government, as may be prescribed: (a) assistance in forest land transfer and no-objection process, (b) assistance in private land acquisition/land purchase and land registration, (c) assistance in obtaining no-objection certificate from the State Pollution Control Board, (d) assistance in obtaining electricity and water supply for the ropeway project, (e) assistance in diversion of transmission lines, electricity poles, pipe lines etc. falling on the attached route, (f) providing assistance in aspects related to rehabilitation and resettlement involved in the project, if any, (g) acting as a single window for granting no-objection at the district level to the sponsor, and (h) reviewing the progress of the project in light of the conditions of the license and submitting a report to the State Government regarding the progress on a bi-monthly basis. (1) With regard to the ropeway projects being implemented by the State Government or any of its departments or agency or by any entity/person selected by or on behalf of the State Government, in case a ropeway project is being implemented on PPP basis, the committee shall discharge following functions, or as may be prescribed by the State Government:- (a) Assistance in Forest land diversion and clearance process; (b) Assistance in Private land acquisition / procurement and land registration; (c) Assistance in procuring clearance from State Pollution Control Board; (d) Assistance in getting supply of electricity & water to the ropeway projects; (e) Assistance in the diversion of transmission lines, electric poles, pipelines, etc. falling along the route alignment; (f) Assistance in resolution of Relocation and Rehabilitation issues, if any, involved in the project; (g) to act as a single window for providing district level clearances to the promoter; and (h) to review the progress on the ropeway projects the State Government on bi-monthly basis.
