Dissolution of the District Council.

50. The Government may, at any time, on the recommendation of the Commission appointed under section 48 by notification published in the Official Gazette order the dissolution of the District Council and- (a) direct that a fresh general election shall be held immediately for the reconstitution of the Council. or (b) place the administration of the autonomous district under the Commission appointed under section 48 or any other body considered suitable, for a period not exceeding 12 months.
