Definitions.

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires.

1. (a) ‘Director’ means the Director of the Institute appointed under section, 17;
2. (b) ‘Fund’ means the fund of the Institute referred to in section 26;
3. (c) ‘Governing Council’ means Governing Council of the Institute constituted under section 9;
4. (d) ‘government’ means the State Government of 1Telangana;
5. (e) ‘Institute’ means the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad established under section 3;
6. (f) ‘member’ means a member of the Institute;
7. (g) ‘notification’ means a notification published in the 1Telangana Gazette;
8. (h) ‘prescribed’ means prescribed by rules made by the Government under this Act;
   • (i) ‘President’ means the President of the Institute referred to in section 7;
9. (j) ‘regulation’ means a regulation made by the Institute under this Act;
10. (k) ‘teacher’ includes a Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Lecturer or any person appointed under this Act, for the conduct of training, research, or imparting medical or paramedical education in the Institute.
