Chapter III DIRECTORS, COMMITTEES AND EMPLOYEES
Statutory text
- (1) The Managing Director shall be a person who has special knowledge or practical experience in respect of matters relating to water supply and sewerage, or has sufficient experience in administrative matters and arrangements.
- (2) The appointment of the Managing Director shall be for such period not less than three years as the Government may determine and the person appointed shall be eligible for reappointment.
- (3) The Managing Director shall be the Chief Executive Authority of the Board and shall be in charge of the day-to-day administration of the Board and shall exercise supervision and control over the employees of the Board.
- (4) With the approval of the Board, the Managing Director may delegate to any officer of the Board any of his functions and powers except those delegated to him under section 22.
