This Act sets up the Madras Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board to provide and manage water supply and sewerage in the Chennai metropolitan area. It sets out the Board's constitution, functions and powers, including compulsory acquisition of land, and its Managing Director and Finance and Engineering Directors.
