Appointment and functions of Director of Settlements

As soon as may be after the publication of this Act in the Fort St. George Gazette, the Government shall appoint a Director of Settlements to carry out survey and settlement operations in janmam estates and introduce ryotwari settlement therein. The Director shall be Subordinate to the Board of Revenue.
