Definitions

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, —

1. (a) "Authority" means the Chennai Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority established under section 3;
2. (b) "Government" means the State Government;
3. (c) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules;
4. (d) words and expressions used but not defined in this Act shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971.
