  1. (1) This Act may be called the Chennai Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority Act, 2010.
  2. (2) It extends to the whole of Chennai Metropolitan Planning Area.
  3. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification, appoint.
