Statutory text
(1) Any person who is desirous of having any vehicle registered as a hackney carriage shall apply to the Deputy Commissioner, and shall submit such vehicle for such inspection as the Deputy Commissioner may direct. (2) The person in whose name any carriage is registered shall be deemed to be the owner of such carriage for the purposes of this Act.
