Statutory text
- (1) There shall be a Sachiva for a Zilla Panchayat appointed by the State Government on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed: Provided that any person so appointed shall be recalled by the State Government if a resolution to that effect is passed by the Zilla Panchayat, at a meeting specially convened for the purpose, by a majority of the total number of members holding office for the time being.
- (2) The Sachiva shall also supervise all records of every Gram Panchayat falling under the jurisdiction of a Zilla Panchayat of a concerned district.
- (3) The Sachiva shall be in charge of the office of the Zilla Panchayat and shall discharge such duties and perform such functions as may be prescribed.
