- (1) The Finance Committee shall consist of Finance Committee1the Vice-ChancellorEx-officio Chairman2the Secretary to Government incharge of the Finance Department, or his nominee not below the rank of Deputy SecretaryMember3the Secretary to the Government incharge of the Agriculture Department, or his nominee not below the rank of Deputy SecretaryMember4the Director, Research/Extension Education/ Education (one Director by rotation every year to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor)Member5one nominee of the Board who be the non-official member of the BoardMember6the ComptrollerEx-officio Secretary Explanation.- For the purposes of this sub-section, expression Secretary to the Government in-charge means the Secretary to the Government in-charge of a department and includes an Additional Chief Secretary and a Principal Secretary when he is in-charge of that department. (2) Finance Committee shall have the following functions, namely:- (i) to examine the annual accounts and budget estimates of the University and to advise the Board thereon; (ii) to review the financial position of the University from time to time; and (iii) to make recommendations to the Board on all matters relating to the finances of the University .
