Statutory text

(1) There shall be an Associate Director for the Institute.
(2) The Associate Director shall be appointed on deputation by the Government through a selection process as may be prescribed.
(3) In accordance with the selection process, the Secretary In-charge of Medical Education Department shall forward a panel of three names of the officers belonging to the Indian Administrative Service or Central Civil Services or Armed Forces or the Rajasthan Administrative Service, respectively of the ranks as may be prescribed. Associate Director shall be appointed on deputation by the Government from the panel of names so submitted.
(4) The remuneration and allowances of the Associate Director shall be paid by the Institute. The term of the Associate Director shall be three years which can be extended upto five years by the Government on the recommendation of the Institute.
(5) The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed 55 years.
(6) Under the administrative control of the Director, the Associate Director shall be responsible for the general administration of the Institute.
(7) The Associate Director shall have such other powers and functions as may be prescribed.
