Decision of Tribunal
Punjab Development of Damaged Areas Act, 1951(1) The Tribunal may, in any reference made to it, make any order for the payment of compensation to any person proved to be entitled to it and may either maintain or modify the award of the Collector: Provided that the Tribunal shall not question the amounts notified by the Central Government under section 12 as the cost of a scheme and the income from it. Every such award shall be in writing and shall be signed by the President of the Tribunal, and it shall be deemed to be a decree and the statement of the grounds thereof a judgement within the meaning of sub-sections (2) and (9), respectively of section 2 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908; and every award and order of the Tribunal shall be enforced by the court of the Senior Sub-Judge within the local limits of its jurisdiction as if it were a decree made or passed by it.
