Rejcetion of Ballot-papers:- A ballot-paper contained in a ballot box shall be rejected; if :-

(a)it bears any mark other than prescribed by the Election Commission for marking the vote or writing or mark by which the voter can be identified; (b)it does not contain the distinguished mark. (c)the Returning Officer, is satisfied that the ballot-paper is spurious; (d)it has been so damaged or mutilated that its identity as a genuine ballot-paper cannot be established; (e)it has not been marked in favour of any candidate or has been marked in favour of more than one. (f)it has not been marked clearly as to in whose favour the vote is recorded.
