Notification bearing No. UTFII(10)/94/12453, dated the 20 th September, 1994 and in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (i) of Section 227 of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 as extended to the Union Territory, Chandigarh, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to formulate the following rules, namely :- 1.(1)These rules may be called the Chandigarh Panchayat Election Rules, 1994. (2)They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. (3)They shall apply to the Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis and Zila Parishads constituted under the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 as extended to the Union
