Appeal

(1) Any person aggrieved by an order of the Competent Authority under sub-section (3) of section 6, section 7, sub-section (3) of section 8, or section 9 may, within sixty days from the date of communication of the relevant order, prefer an appeal to an authority appointed by the Government (hereinafter referred to as the Appellate Authority) in the prescribed form and manner. (2) On receipt of an appeal under sub-section (1), the Appellate Authority shall, after giving the appellant an opportunity of being heard dispose of the appeal, within such period as may be prescribed. (3) The Appellate Authority may entertain the appeal after the expiry of the period of sixty days if the appellant satisfies the Appellate Authority that he was prevented by sufficient cause from filing the appeal in time.
