Appointment of Chief Inspector and Inspectors

Statutory text
(1) The State Government may, by notification, appoint a Chief Inspector who shall be the chief executive authority for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act. (2) The State Government may, by notification, appoint such persons as they think fit to be inspectors for the purposes of this Act and define the local limits within which they shall exercise their powers under this Act. (3) In addition to any power conferred on the Chief Inspector by or under this Act, he may exercise all or any of the powers of an Inspector.
