This Act establishes the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences at Nashik to bring all health sciences colleges in the State, such as medical, dental, Ayurveda, homeopathy and nursing colleges, under one university. It sets out the University's objects, powers and jurisdiction, opens it to all, and transfers Government colleges to it. Its officers include the Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor.
