Disqualifications for membership Disqualifications for membership.- A person shall be disqualified for being elected or nominated as, and for being a member of the Council-

1. (a) . if he has not attained the age of majority;
2. (aa) . if he is not a resident of the State of Kerala;
3. (b) . if he is an unsischarged insolvent;
4. (c) . if he is of unsound mind and stands so declared by a competent court, a deaf-mute or a leper;
5. (d) . if he has been dismissed from service under any Government;
6. (e) . if his name has been removed from the registers maintained under this Act or the Travancore-Cochin Medical Practitioners Act, 1953, and has not been reinstated
