Constitution of appellate authority

(1) The Government may, by notification in the Gazette, constitute as many appellate authorities as may be necessary for the purpose of this Act. (2) The Government may, by notification in the Gazette, authorise any officer not below the rank of Superintending Engineer in the Public Works Department to exercise the powers of the appellate authority in such areas as may be specified therein.
