Right of water.

No land-owner shall be competent to curtail or terminate the supply or use of water from any source enjoyed immediately before 17th October, 1950 by any person in respect of the land, in which the right of such land-owner has been extinguished under the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Big Landed Estates Abolition Act, 2007, and a breach of this provision shall constitute a cognizable offence punishable with imprisonment which may extend to six months and shall be triable by a Court not below the rank of a Second Class Magistrate.
