Qualifications of voters.

Every person who — (a) has been ordinarily resident of a ward for not less than six months at the time of registration as a voter; (b) is a Sikh of not less than eighteen years of age, shall be entitled to be registered in the electoral roll for that ward:

Provided that no person shall be registered as a voter who - (a) is a Patit or trims or shaves his beard or Keshas; (b) uses tobacco, Kutha (Halal meat) or intoxicants; (c) takes alcoholic drinks.
