This Act establishes the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee to oversee, govern, and administer Sikh Gurdwaras, religious properties, and affiliated institutions within the State of Haryana. Replacing the jurisdiction of previous legislation, it creates dedicated administrative bodies, an election commission, and a judicial commission to manage Gurdwara assets, conduct democratic elections for committee members, and resolve internal legal disputes. The law applies to Sikh devotees, voters, and shrine managers across Haryana. It ensures financial accountability, protects sacred rites and heritage, promotes community welfare, education, and healthcare, and prohibits the use of religious funds for political activities.
