Transitory powers of the first Vice-Chancellor

1. (1) It shall be the duty of the first Vice-Channcellor,-
   • (a) to give recognition to institutions, if any, as far as possible consistently with the provisions of section 37; and
   • (b) to make arrangements for constitution the Court, the Executive Council, the Academic Council and other authorities of the University, within six months after the date of his appointment or such longer period not exceeding one year as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify.
2. (2) The first Vice-Chancellor shall, with the assistance of the Advisory Committee consisting of not more than fifteen members nominated by the State Government,-
   • (a) subject to the provisions of this Act and the apporval of the Chancellor,-
