Chancellor
The IIIT (Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology) - Delhi Act, 2007(1) The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi shall be the Chancellor of the Institute. (2) The Chancellor shall preside at the Convocations of the Institute held for conferring degrees. (1) The General Council shall be the supreme authority of the Institute and shall consist of such members as may be provided by the Statutes. (2) The General Council shall review the broad policies and programmes of the Institute and suggest measures for the improvement and development of the Institute and shall perform such other functions and exercise such other powers as may be assigned to it by this Act or the Statutes. (1) The Registrar shall be appointed in such manner, on such emoluments and other conditions of service, and shall exercise such powers and.perform such functions, as may be prescribed. (2) The Registrar empowered by the Board of Governors shall have the power to enter into, and sign, agreements and authenticate records on behalf of the Institute.
