Statutory text

(1) The University shall have the following powers and functions. (2) The University shall promote academic excellence and research. (3) The University shall (a) establish and maintain schools, departments, and research centers. (b) confer degrees, diplomas, and certificates. (c) institute and award fellowships, scholarships, and prizes. (d) organize conferences, seminars, and workshops. (e) enter into agreements with other universities or institutions. (f) perform such other functions as may be necessary for the attainment of the objectives of the university.
