The superintendence of State Police shall vest in and be exercised by ~Supeiniendence of Sue Police

the State Government in accordance with the provisions of this Act.

i 12 27. (1) The State Government shall, within a period of three months of the a of State Police coming into force of this Act, establish a State Police Board to exercise

the functions assigned to it under this chapter.

1. (2) The State Police Board shall consist of following persons, namely:-
   • (a) the Chief Minister, Punjab; -- Chairperson;
   • (b) the Home Minister, Punjab; -- Vice-Chairperson;
   • (c) the Chief Secretary, Punjab; -- Member
   • (d) the Principal Secretary to Government of Punjab, -- Member Department of Home Affairs and justice; (¢) the Advocate General, Punjab; and -- Member
   • (f) the Director General of Police -- Member Secretary;
