Short title, extent, and commencement

Short title, extent, and commencement.-

1. (1) This Act may be called The Bihar Micro Finance Institutions (Regulations of Money Lending and Prevention of Coercive Actions) Act 2026.
2. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Bihar including all districts, sub-divisions, blocks, and panchayats within the territorial jurisdiction of the State.
3. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint.
