Bhoodan tenant

Any person for village community, Gram Panchayat, or a Co-operative Society organised by the Committee to whom land has been granted under section 14 or is deemed to have been granted under sub-section (3) of Section 15 shall at the instance of the Committee be recorded as a Bhoodan tenant in the rent-roll of the landlord and such rent-roll shall include the following particulars, namely:" (i) the area and description of the land; (ii) the name of the Bhoodan tenant; (iii) the amount of rent of the land fixed by the Revenue Officer by distribution of rent or otherwise; (iv) the mode in which the rent has been fixed; (v) the mode in which the Bhoodan tenant belongs; (vi) the name of the landlord; and (vii) any other particulars that may be prescribed. Explanation.--For the purposes of this section "landlord" means a person immediately under whom a Bhoodan tenant holds and includes the State Government.
