Resignation by, and removal of, Chairman or a member
The Bihar Bhoodan Yagna Act, 1954(1) The Chairman or a member of the Committee may, at any time, resign his office by submitting his resignation to the State Government but no such resignation shall take effect until it is accepted and notified in the Official Gazette: (2) The State Government may by notification in the Official Gazette, remove from office the Chairman or any member of the Committee if the Chairman or such member (i) has applied for being adjudged an insolvent or is an undischarged insolvent; or (ii) has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude; or (iii) refuses to act or becomes incapable of acting or acts in a manner which the State Government, after hearing any explanation that he may offer, considers to be prejudicial to the objects of this Act.
