Provided that the Executive Council may either for specific purpose or in general, appoint any other officer of the University as a Secretary of any of the said authorities.

Powers and duties of the Registrar Powers and duties of the Registrar shall be the following, namely:-

1. (i) to be the custodian of the records, common seal and such other property of the University as the Executive Council shall commit to his charge and to manage such properties;
2. (ii) to sign and verify all contracts and agreements made on behalf of the University and to act as Secretary of such other Committees as may be prescribed by the Statutes;
3. (iii) to conduct the official correspondence between the Court and the Executive Council;
4. (iv) to issue all notices convening meetings of all such Committees or Councils or Boards of which he or she is the Secretary;
5. (v) to arrange for and conduct the examinations of the University for such time till the University appoints other officers, if any, for this purpose; and
6. (vi) to perform such other work as may, from time to time, be prescribed by the Executive Council.
