  1. (1) The Rector shall be appointed by the Chancellor on the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor on such emoluments and allowances as may be fixed by the Chancellor. He or she shall hold office for a term of five
  2. (5) years and shall be eligible for re-appointment.
  3. (2) The Rector shall exercise such powers and perform such duties of the Vice- Chancellor as may, from time to time, be delegated to him or her by the Vice- Chancellor.
