Commission to have powers of a Civil Court

The Assam Satra Preservation and Development Commission, for the purposes of its functions under this Act, shall have the same powers as a civil court under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (Central Act No. 5 of 1908), including summoning and enforcing the attendance of any person and examining them on oath, ordering the discovery and production on of any document or material object admissible as evidence, receiving evidence on affidavits, requisitioning any public record, issuing commissions for the examination of witnesses, reviewing its own decisions, directions, and orders, and addressing any other matter that may be prescribed or notified:
