Part II CONSTITUTION, COMPOSITION AND TENURE OF THE COMMISSION

Statutory text

(1) The State Government shall, by notification published in the Official Gazette, constitute for the purposes of this Act, the Assam Satra Preservation and Development Commission for the protection, management, development and regulation of the Satras and their lands within the State.
(2) The Commission shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal, and may sue and be sued in its name.
