Death of or injury to member of Services

1. (1) In the event of death of or permanent injury to a member of the services (other than a Gazetted officer), dying while on duty, the State Government shall pay adequate amount to the next of kin as funeral expenses or such amount as the State Government may by an order determine.
2. (2) In the event of death or permanent injury to a member of the services while on fire fighting and rescue operations, the Government shall pay ex-gratia at a rate as may be prescribed.
