Cancellation of Fire Safety Certificate

1. (1) In the event of violations of any of the conditions of the Fire Safety Certificate by the owner or occupier, the Director or any Fire Officers authorized by him on his behalf shall cancel the Fire Safety Certificate as per the notification issued by the Government from time to time.
2. (2) The Nominated Officer or any other authorized officers of the Services not below the rank of Station Officers of the concerned jurisdiction shall be empowered to conduct periodic or random inspections to verify the adequacy and workability of required fire safety measures as declared by the applicant in the self-declaration. In the event of non-compliance of any of the conditions of the self-declaration submitted by the owner or occupier, the Nominated Officers shall take such steps including cancellation of Fire Safety Certificate as may be necessary for the compliance of fire safety measures to be specified as per the notification issued by the Government from time to time.
