Establishment and incorporation of Authority

Arunachal Pradesh Water Resources Regulatory Authority

1. (1) The State Government shall, within three months from the date of the commencement of this Act, by notification in the Official Gazette, establish an Authority to be known as the Arunachal Pradesh Water Resources Regulatory Authority to exercise the powers conferred on and to perform the functions and duties assigned to it under this Act.
2. (2) The Authority established under sub-section
3. (1) shall be a body corporate by the name aforesaid, having perpetual succession and a common seal, with power to contract, acquire, hold and dispose of property, both movable and immovable, and to do all things necessary for the purposes of this Act, and may sue or be sued by its corporate name.
4. (3) The Head office of the Authority shall be at Itanagar.
5. (4) The Authority shall consist of a Chairperson and two other Members.
6. (5) The Chairperson and the other members of the Authority shall be appointed by the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh on the recommendation of the Selection Committee constituted under section 5.
