Statutory text
- (1) TheAuthorityshall maintain properaccounts and other relevantrecordsand prepare an annualstatement ofaccountsin such form as maybeprescribedbythe Governmentin consultation with the Accountant General.
- (2) Theaccountsof theAuthorityshall beaudited by theAccountantGeneralat suchintervalsas maybe specifiedbyhimandanyexpenditureincurredin connectionwithsuchaudit shallbepayablebythe Authorityto theAccountantGeneral.
- (3) TheAccountantGeneralandanyperson appointed by him inconneclionwith theauditof the accounts 01theAuthorityunderthis Act shall have the same rights andprivilegesandauthorityin connection wiLhsuch audit astheAccountantGeneralgenerally has in connection with the audit ofGovernmentaccounts and , inparticular,shall havetherighttodemandthe produclion ofbooks,accounts,connectedvouchers and otherdocumentsandpapersand toinspect anyof Ihe offices 01the Authority.
- (4) Theaccountsof the Authority, ascertifiedby theAccountantGeneralor anyotherpersonappointed by him in this behalftogetherwith theauditreport thereonshallbeforwarded annuallytotheState Governmentby the Authority and the StateGovernmentshall causetheaudilreport to belaid,within a period of six months from the date of its receipt, before theSlate Legislature.
