The Ordinances : (1) Subject to the provisions of this Act or

Statutes made thereunder, the Ordinances may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:-

1. (a) the admission of students to the University and their enrol- ment as such;
2. (b) the courses of study to be laid down for the degrees, diplo- mas and certificates of the University;
3. (c) the award of the degrees, diplomas, certificates and other academic distinctions, the minimum qualification for the same and the measures to be taken relating to the grant- ing and obtaining of the same;
4. (d) the conditions for award of fellowships, scholarships, sti- pends, medals and prizes;
5. (e) the conduct of examinations, including the terms of office and manner of appointment and the duties of examining bodies, examiners and moderators;
6. (f) fees tocharged for the courses, examinations, degrees and diplomas of the University;
7. (g) the conditions of residence of the students of the Univer- sity;
8. (nh) provision regarding disciplinary action against the students;
   • (i) the creation, composition and functions of any other body which is considered necessary for improving the academic life of the University;
9. (j) “the manner of co-operation and collaboration with other Universities and institutions of higher education; and
10. (k) all other matters which by this Act or Statutes made thereunder are required to be provided by the Ordinances.
