  1. 0. Preamble
  2. 1. Short title, extent and commencement:-(1) This Act may be called
  3. 2. Definitions:- In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, -
  4. 3. Incorporation : (1) The first Chancellor and the first Vice-
  5. 5. University to be self-financed
  6. 6. Power of affiliation
  7. 7. Endowment Fund : (1) There shali be established an Endowment
  8. 8. Account in Bank, the deposit shall be made with the condition that the amount shall not be withdrawn without the permission of the State Government.

  11. 11. The Chancellor : (1) The Chancellor shall be appointed by the
  12. 12. India or overseas.
  13. 13. The Sponsor may stipulate the date from which such other person shall assume the office of the Vice-Chancellor.
  14. 14. The Provost : (1) The Provost shall be appointed by the
  15. 15. The Proctor : (1) The Proctor shall be appointed by the
  16. 16. The Dean of Faculty : (1) There shall be a Dean of each
  17. 17. The Registrar : (1) The Registrar shall be appointed by the
  18. 18. The Chief Finance and Accounts Officer : (1) The Chief
  19. 19. Other officers : (1) The University may appoint such other officers
  20. 20. Authorities of the University
  21. 21. The Board of Management
  22. 22. The Academic Council : (1) The Academic Council shall consist of the Vice

  25. 25. Vacancies not to invalidate the proceedings of any authority

  28. 28. The Statutes : (1) Subject to the provisions of this Act, the

  30. 30. Council which after being approved by the Board of Management, shall be submitted to the Chancellor for its approval.
