1. Short title and extent

Short title and extent.
- (1) This Act may be called the Arunachal Pradesh (Criminal Law Amendment) Act, 1987.
- (2) It extends to the whole of the Union territory of Arunachal Pradesh.
2. Amendment of Central Act 45 of 1860
Statutory text
Amendment of Central Act 45 of 1860. In the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act),—
- (a) in section 153A, in sub-section (2), for the words "three years", the words "five years" shall be substituted;
- (b) in section 295A, for the words "three years", the words "five years" shall be substituted;
- (c) in section 505, in sub-section (2), for the words "three years", the words "five years" shall be substituted.
3. Amendment of Central Act 2 of 1974
Statutory text
Amendment of Central Act 2 of 1974. - In the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as the Code), in Section 41, -
- (a) in sub-section (1), for the word "or" occurring at the end of clause (e), the word "or" shall be inserted;
- (b) after clause (e), the following clause shall be inserted, namely :- "(f) who commits any offence under the Arunachal Pradesh (Prevention of Defacement of Property) Act, 1987."
4. Amendment of Central Act 46 of 1952
Statutory text
Amendment of Central Act 46 of 1952. - In the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1952 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in sub-section
- (1) of Section 6, -
- (a) after clause (b), the following clause shall be inserted, namely :- "(c) any offence under the Arunachal Pradesh (Prevention of Defacement of Property) Act, 1987.";
- (b) in the proviso, for the words "or clause (b)", the words ", clause
- (b) or clause (c)" shall be substituted.
