Provided that nothing in this section shall apply to the Gram Panchayat which had completed its term of four years before the commencement of the Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayats (Amendment) Act, 1986.

Amendment of section 232 Amendment of section 232.—In section 232 of the principal Act,—

1. (a) for the expression "the provisions of this Act" wherever it occurs, the expression "the provisions of this Act or any rules made thereunder" shall be substituted;
2. (b) for the words "District Collector", the words "District Collector or such other officer as may be authorised by the Government" shall be substituted;
3. (c) for the words "the Government", the words "the Government or such other officer as may be authorised by the Government" shall be substituted.
