Director, Additional Director, Joint Director and Deputy Director of Fire and Emergency Service

On and from the date of commencement of this Regulation,—

1. (i) the Director General of Police, Andaman and Nicobar Islands shall be the Director of Fire and Emergency Service, who shall exercise such powers and perform such duties and other functions as are specified by or under this Regulation;
2. (ii) the Additional Director General of Police or Inspector General of Police or Deputy Inspector General of Police, Andaman and Nicobar Islands shall be the Additional Director of Fire and Emergency Service;
3. (iii) the Senior Superintendent of Police, Andaman and Nicobar Islands shall be the Joint Director of Fire and Emergency Service;
4. (iv) the Deputy Director of Fire and Emergency Service shall be appointed as per notified Recruitment Rules made in this behalf and shall function as Head of Office.
