Conditions for establishment of University

The Sponsoring Body shall fulfill the following conditions for the purposes of establishing the University under this Act, namely- (a) Ownership of a minimum of 10 acres of contiguous land for the University. (b) Construction of a building in a minimum carpet area of 20,000 square meters on the land mentioned in clause (a), of which at least 50 percent is for academic and administrative purposes. (c) At least Rs. 4 crore has been invested in office and laboratory equipment in the building specified in clause (b). (d) The Sponsoring Body shall obtain the environmental clearance from the Government of India under the prescribed rules and provide it to the State Government. (e) The permanent endowment fund specified in Section 45 shall be established by the University in the name of the State Government.
