Admissibility of certificate abstract and evidentiary value

(1) All extract (s) obtained under sub-section (1) shall be sighed by the registrar concerned, and shall be admissible in evidence in any court of law for the purpose of establishing the factum of marriage to which the entry, relates. (2) Certificate of marriage issued under the Act, or any abstract (s) of the register kept under this Act issued by the Registrar or Local Registrar shall be presumed correct unless the contrary is proved.
